I guess, this year, Mardi Gras starts earlier at the French Quarter!
O! say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O! say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

No ano em que estive lá passei o Domingo da Superbowl a fazer coisas tipicas de turistas, como por exemplo, visitar o Empire State Building. Só se viam estrangeiros aos montes. Um animador de serviço gritava para a multidão que era "superbowl day", mas ninguém lhe prestava muita atenção (só mesmo pelo volume de voz). Americanos nas ruas, nem vê-los
