West coast

Recently I did a trip to Portland for a conference. In these occasions I try to travel around and get to know a new place. One year ago, I wrote about Andre and his family, leaving San Diego. He graduated from UCSD and is now a professor at Oregon State University, Corvallis. This is very close to Portland, and I wanted to pay them a visit. Also, my current flatmate lived in Portland for three years, and as soon as he knew I was travelling there, he started unrolling an endless list of things I "must visit". He was right, Oregon is a beautiful green state, and I was not disappointed as you will see in the pictures.
The west coast of the US, is made up of three states (bottom-up): California, Oregon and Washington. Since Portland is very close to the state border with Washington, I also checked the Vancouver (a small neighboring city). Thus,  I have completed my tour along the west coast. Hopefully I can still find time for Alaska and Hawaii... but for the time being, enjoy a few pictures of this trip.
